Cocoa Swap – The Questionnaire!

Cocoa:
1. What is your favorite way to drink cocoa?
I really love cocoa and have had melted chocolate creamed and frothed or sweet delicious store bought brands stirred up and served in a big ol mug of goodness. The best part about any, is the sitting and enjoying the sweet warmth. I tend to savor.. I am a “in the moment” kinda gal.
2. Marshmallows or whipped cream?
Both : ) I love Plush Puffs, though as I really love homemade marshmallows. I make my own too!

Yarn/Knitting/Crochet
1. What is your favorite type of yarn? In what colors?
I am a stash-er and impulse buyer. I am motivated to buy yarns based on feel. So I like the soft touch types. I love Chocolate Raspberry Turquoise and Lime.
2. Do you knit or crochet (or both)?
Both -I am a really proficient at crochet and still building my knitting skills. There is still a lot that confuses me about knitting and its something I really have been trying to learn. I would love to find that one REALLY good book and that breaks it all down. Especially DPNs and socks. I want to do socks SO BAD !!!
3. What are your favorite type of needles, would you like to try something new?
So far I love all my crochet hooks. I have discovered I do much better on wood type DPNs than metal or plastic. I get very frustrated quickly when I have worked so hard to build rows and drop 20 stitched off a DPN when trying to learn how to do knitting in the round.. LOL. Its one reason I have stayed away from Circulars and DPNs – I am the queen of dropped stitch@!
4. Do you have a healthy supply of notions?
Crochet yes – Knitting no. I have a few big needles and a size 6 set. I don’t have smaller or medium range or circulars that seem to be used for so many patterns.
5. What one thing do you keep thinking you need to buy for your knitting habit (outside of yarn)?
Needles really. At least for now to be able to try some new techniques and really start learning. Its frustrating to have to go buy a needle set every-time you want to try a new item. I have heard alot about KnitPicks and Denise Interchangeable needles. I would like to  know more about those and possibly invest in them for myself in the future.
6. What is your favorite ‘quick knit/crochet’ pattern (quick gratification)
(haha) Uhm.. Dishcloths.. HA! I like practicing a variety of cables/patterns, and Dishcloths have been instrumental in that. Its a quick easy way to work up swatches or test patterns in yarn you know your never going to use and TADA – you now have something to put in the bathroom or kitchen.

Miscellaneous
1. What is your favorite thing to do in the Winter?

If the day is right – get out shop walk around people watch.. bad wet weather I love to cuddle with a blanket and read or sit down with a craft book and project.
2. What is your favorite animal?
Cat
3. Do you get the ‘winter blahs’?
Yes I do I get restless and that manifests to blah weepy moments.
4. What is your favorite way to beat the blahs?
Walk walk walk. If still frustrated I need to sit quite by myself and work on something crafty. I very much need alone time when I am moody and blah.
5. What is the thing you are most looking forward to this spring?
Its kind of every ones chance to start fresh air out the house – its not too hot or cold so you really can enjoy outside or inside living. I do a clean sweep of the house – find treasures I forgot about and start my year anew.
