Stop.. design time…

Self Discovery 101.
I have discovered a very strong need for most knitters. Many are so seriously in lack of needle organizers and protectors. There are some gorgeous designer studios out there that really have lovely items – items that when you save you can treat yourself to a needle tote for on the go and fashionable Knitting Kninja. Thing is I am finding – some of these bags start at 60$ USD and go any where up to 157$.

Again for your fashion forward wealthy sugarplums who can throw down 2-300$ for a place to stash your stash.. I applaud and envy you 🙂

I however am a budget conscious single mom and would much rather see that bundle of sum mun go into my … oh bills groceries or perhaps some lovely notions and yarn. Books.. ohhhh yes books.

I had fancied myself once as being a spinner. Then it was a knitwear designer (still working on that don’t give up on me) but here’s the thing.. I am a reasonably good seamstress. Especially when following a pattern. And boy have I found a pattern !

I know this year is going to be tough on so many people. Economically speaking we are headed for financial tough times.
SO .. in my wisdom I have built-out my brainiac imaginary design studio. I am going to start gathering needful things soon so keep posted bat fans.

The exciting part it stimulated my brain..which hasn’t happened alot lately 🙂

O _ M _ Goddess!!!!

Today in my gloom the heavens parted and what I have wanted more than anything the last 5-10 years walked ( I should sashaaaayed) in one glorious fell swoop. Somehow I was looking for craft patterns for my halloween pal. I am still undecided which pattern I would love to send her. Patterns are so personal.. you never really know what someone would like to make for their home.. ok so BLAH back to the GLORY!!!

Oh yes.. really.

In google searching for roving I found her. Someone who no longer has time for spinning or time to do keep a wheel was tenderly letting her find another home. Ending with in hours she called to me in the most tartlet of fashion. Sweet and wild waiting to be delivered. I have yet to name her because the sheer excitement.

Being that she is an A

Fall Into Autumn registration is open today!

Details can be found on Anne and Sharons site.
It began this morning I believe at like 9am. While I didnt win the lottery last night – this feels like a special lottery all of its own. I have been way to shy to join any swaps. This one I think is a good start to introduce me. I even picked out some special patterns last night for my possible swap friend. I stayed up way to late practicing grannies. Some look ok, some dont…(haha).

I am working all weekend (ug) and was glad to do so even though in my head there is minor complaint. The gas got shut off on thursday, somewhere I am beginning to wonder whats next. Before you feel bad I have no hot water – let me assure you its hot enough to enjoy a cold showed for a couple of days. While its mildly somewhat of an embarrassment, I actually am pretty not ashamed of the fact my expenses are tremendous. I am a reasonable gal and budget very well. I have a family member that is not working who I am taking care of in addition to my child and all together – things are ok.
Everything I do daily is to make sure there are lights and food on the table.  This family member is going to have to go get a job though. Financially this has to end this month especially with the holidays coming up.  It has been a year now and she hasnt. I understand better than anyone about being in a new city and being scared to try something new. But you know walmart is always hiring. Thats something, something that alot of people in this world would be greatful to have.
